Learn to be independent

You are different from other people.  At Colfe's we don't set out to make you the same.

We want you to learn how make your own decisions, to organise your time and your thoughts, to be original and creative: in short, to become an individual.  It takes time, whether you start with us in the Nursery or the Sixth Form, but we will help you at every stage.  Our classes are small, and with different staff watching out for you all the time, we really get to know you.  This means we can encourage you to do your best.

You have chances to take part, and take responsibility, from an early age: perhaps as an attendance monitor in EYFS/Key Stage 1, a team member in the Key Stage 2 or, later, as a leader in the Combined Cadet Force.  Join a music group, play chess, discuss films, practise stage lighting ... there are so many ways to find out where your skills and interests lie and to gain the confidence to try new things.
